NONPROFIT MANAGEMENT CENTER OF THE PERMIAN BASIN
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
The Nonprofit Management Center (NMC) is currently working to create a closer relationship with more nonprofits in the Permian Basin. Our area encompasses more than 20 counties and includes urban and rural communities.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Nonprofit Executive Leadership Certification
NMC is dedicated to helping develop a pool of motivated well-trained professionals to take on the challenge of nonprofit leadership. The Nonprofit Executive Leadership Certification (NELC) helps bridge the gap in nonprofit leadership by building a community of strong , emerging leaders. NELC is designed to equip individuals with the skills needed to be successful. Upon completion of the nine-course program, participants receive a Certificate of Nonprofit Management.
Generations...Past, Present and Future
Throughout the Permian Basin, nonprofits struggle with recruiting informed, committed board members. Generations is designed to develop new board members. Upon completion of eight, half-day sessions over a period of four months, graduates are required to transition into service on a local nonprofit board. NMC, course participants, and nonprofit groups work together to identify a board experience that fits the graduate's personal preference and passion while meeting the needs of the organization.
Lunch and Learn Program
To provide a monthly training opportunity for area nonprofit organizations. Topics include: Financial Management, Fundraising/Development, Governance, Human Resources, Legal/Ethical Issues, Public Accountability and Technology.
