MORNING STAR FRESH FOOD MINISTRY INC
Fighting Hunger & Feeding Souls
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Giving every opportunity for families in need to have access to fresh healthy food. Many families or individuals do not have access or the ability to purchase fresh food. As fresh fruits and vegetables are more expensive than canned or frozen fruits and vegetables and much more expensive than processed food you find a neighborhood grocery store. So by going directly to the growers and farmers in our community we are able to get some donated or at least a much cheaper price that what you would pay through a grocery store as we don't have the mark up and loss that grocery stores incur. Our mission and vision is to feed needy families fresh healthy nutritious food by fighting hunger and feeding souls with the love and hope of Jesus. We not only want to feed the physical body but we also want to feed the spiritual body.

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Morning Star goal is to pack and deliver 500 fresh food boxes each and every month. We aim to educated adults, children and the disabled about food nutrition. We educate families on how to make wise food choices that will not only stretch out their food dollars but also improve their health. Our bigger goal is to build relationship with the families to find out what is going on in their lives and reach out to them with love and prayer to give them hope to find salvation through Jesus Christ.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Build the ministry through local churches. Secure funding through local businesses. Brand the ministry through the website, social media the food box and the refrigerated truck. As we present the sponsored program to the local churches and business: we give them options on how to get involved: through prayer, volunteer on distribution days or sponsor a family with he monthly fresh food box. Were building testimonies videos and sharing them through social media, website and the monthly newsletter.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
By establishing a brand in our community we have built a strong backing of farmers and local growers who donate many of the fruits and vegetables. Through fundraising events we are building stronger donors to come along and support our vision by sponsoring families on a recurring monthly basis. Our fundraising events are not only increasing our net revenue but we are also increasing our brand awareness with the local business who are coming out to support our vision.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
