These grant funds are distributed to agencies throughout Monroe County to prevent and end homelessness.

Increase employment and non-employment income.
Move clients to self-sufficient housing through case management.

Homelessness Prevention - one time assistance to keep people in their existing home.
Outreach - finding those in need in the community and connecting them to services.
Emergency Shelter - providing a safe clean space for those who have no home.
Rapid-Rehousing - quickly get the homeless into housing either by providing housing or by assisting with first, last and security deposit.
Basic Needs - helping clients obtain what they need such as ID, birth certificate, shoes or bike repair so they may keep or gain employment.

The Monroe County COC is composed of over 20 non-profit agencies, including churches, mental health care providers, veteran's services and homeless service providers.

90% success rate of those placed in permanent housing keeping their housing.
In 2017, hundreds of clients were provided case management, rental and mortgage assistance.
