Wild Places Rescue provides year-round sanctuary for animals that have been abused, neglected, injured, abandoned, or feral. Wild Places is also dedicated to promoting the welfare of animals through public education. Wild Places is a 501c3 organization, and is run solely by volunteers.

Animal Sanctuary

Wild Places is primarily a retirement/hospice for animals, focusing on special-needs animals. Our goal is to provide a high level of care and quality of life for each animal, and make them feel safe, loved, enriched, and as comfortable as possible. We generally accept animals that are out of options -- animals that have nowhere else to go. We have provided sanctuary for animals with a range of issues: blindness, deafness, chronic diseases, chronic spinal injuries, severe arthritis, genetic/developmental defects, thyroid disorders, and extreme old age. Often, our animals require special diets and expensive medications, which we accommodate, regardless of the cost.
