What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

National Recidivism Rates are 89% in ten years. The effects go beyond someone being placed in a cage. We are separating families and creating single-parent households. We are also increasing the number of youth subject to incarceration by not rehabilitating the adults in their lives. A child who's had an incarcerated parent is 33% more likely to go to prison as an adult. A child who doesn't finish high school is at a 33% chance of going to prison as an adult. These statistics fall on our rehabilitation system failing.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

"I See ME Free"

"I See ME Free" is a four-phase mentor guided workbook program that helps women and men who are looking for rehabilitation while incarcerated. Our "I See ME Free" program is faith based with cognitive behavior therapy. We have a specialized computer program that matches mentors to "mentees" (incarcerated). The mentor walks alongside their "mentee" as together they complete each workbook in the program. We are giving hope and Jesus to the lost and forgotten within the prison cells. Through this program we are reducing recidivism and homelessness.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We are seeking to reduce recidivism by beginning a four-phase cognitive and faith-based workbook program while incarcerated. We provide mentors to help each returning citizen develop positive habits/behaviors and an emotional support system.

With recidivism being at it's highest within the first three years (68%) we help to return citizens get back on their feet by partnering with multiple organizations and state partners to help with housing, employment, and reconnecting with family & the community for them to build a larger support system.

We partner with over 30 government agents and nonprofits to make our program all-inclusive and fit each individual's needs.

Stage 1 I See ME Free
Stage one Begins while incarcerated. All charges and sentence lengths are eligible. Stage one has four phases each consisting of therapeutic interventions critical thinking, cognitive behavior, and Trauma environment recovery model combined with biblical specialties workbook that each returning citizen completes with a mentor that has been interest matched to them. Each returning citizen spends approximately 12 to 18 months per workbook.

Violent and nonviolent offenders will qualify; however, sex offenders are handled on a case by case bases. Each parolee (returned citizen) will complete the required workbook material in stage one if not already completed before release.
