Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Joedance raises funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research at Atrium Health Levine Children’s through an annual film festival featuring short films produced in the United States and US /Territories. We support research and clinical trials for pediatric sarcomas, blastomas and brain tumors.

Funds raised through ticket sales, sponsorships and donations are are donated to our managed Joedance Cancer Fund at Atrium Health foundation.

Using a multicultural festival incorporating the power of cinema and performing arts to raise funds for pediatric cancer research at Atrium Health's Levine Children’s Hospital.

What began with just 15 people raising $950 in 2010 has expanded to events throughout the year engaging thousands of people and grossing more than $100,000, the net proceeds going to support research and clinical trials with partners like the Levine Children’s. Over the last 12 years, the organization has demonstrated the ability to raise sizable earned and contributed revenue, and has proved Joedance can be sustained years into the future, both in terms of funding and volunteer manpower.

Joedance exists with the specific purpose of raising money to drive its mission, and the organization’s leadership is leaning in to an effort to double the funds raised annually from $75,000 to $150,000 by the end of 2021 through earned and contributed revenue strategies.
