Programs and results
What we aim to solve
RezDawg Rescue works with communities in the Four Corners area of the southwest to save 2,500 homeless pets each year through transport, fosterage, veterinary care, pet food donations, mobile clinics and adoption. We provide these services in collaboration with tribal communities of the Diné, Ute and Zuni people. Since 2012, we have supported the rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming and medical care for over 15,000 dogs and cats. Our lifesaving programs are possible thanks to the support of people like YOU. Together we can make a difference!
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Relocation and Rehoming Services
We relocate dogs and cats from high-intake shelters, animal control facilities, and reservations in the Four Corners area to animal rescue partners and forever homes in Colorado. We provide transportation to foster homes and other partner organizations, offer medical care and low/no cost spay and neuter services, manage a network of foster homes for temporary shelter, and run adoption events so that these animals can find forever homes.
Foster and Adoption Services
Adopting an animal through RezDawg Rescue creates a positive impact in three ways: enriching your life by adding a loving new family member, saving a deserving cat or dog, and decreasing the homeless pet population in the southwestern US. We’ve heard many people say that adopting a RezDawg Rescue animal not only saves the animal’s life, but helps save their own. Also, your adoption fee assists more animals in finding their permanent homes, funds relocation and transportation, and provides emergency medical and spay/neuter services.
Transport Services
Rescuing dogs and cats from the Four Corners region of the US Southwest keeps our team busy! We coordinate with the Navajo and Zuni peoples to transport animals about every two weeks from Gallup, NM to the Front Range and Western Slope of Colorado.
Pet Pantry
We are partnered with the Greater Good Charities to provide donated pet food and supplies to other rescues, shelters and animal control agencies.
Mobile Spay/Neuter & Vaccination Clinics
Mobile clinics on and around the Navajo Nation and rural communities. We spay/neuter over 500 each year and vaccinate over 1500!
