What we aim to solve
We seek to support patients in active cancer treatment with micro-grants to allow them to care for themselves, their families and loved ones, and to have some peace in their lives. Often times during treatment simple needs like rent, groceries and transportation can be overlooked in favor of spending resources on treatment, and we seek to support them with modest outlays of funds to help them concentrate on recovery.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Giving Hope
Cancer patients that are in active treatment for cancer of all types may apply for a direct giving grant.
We know that battling cancer can be tough, not only emotionally but also financially. Expenses like grocery bills or childcare can add up just as much as hospital bills. Our grant dollars can be used to hire a cleaning service for your home, purchasing a fuel card for your trips to the hospital, or anything else you may need. With our help, you can channel all your energy toward fighting cancer rather than worrying about daily expenses.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We aim to provide a semblance of peace for cancer patients during their fight for survival by providing small monetary grants which they may use at their discretion for personal care, mental care, or care related expenses.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We solicit funds via local connections and fund-raising activities (Tricia's Hope Survival Ball) annually which are then re-distributed to patients in care through our online application process. This process involves an interview with our Founder to assist with determining the size of grants. Every year, outside of 2020 / 2021, we have increased the amount raised and granted while increasing the total number of donors and affiliated organizations we work with.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our Board is stacked with survivors and supporters of this Mission who use their unique backgrounds and community connections to curate donor lists and donations.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?

- We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
- We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
- We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
