Programs and results
What we aim to solve
We continue to stabilize revenue sources as we replace an extraordinary one-time fundraising event with Cards Against Humanity. The Board of Directors is explicitly charged to assist in increasing corporate, foundation, and private support for the museum.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Exhibitions
With a broad perspective on the definition of "design," the Design Museum exhibitions present work from a variety of design disciplines, and encourage visitors to understand how design impacts them in their daily lives.
Workshops
Design Museum workshops balance learning skills and practical applications of those skills with design history and theory. We work hard to keep workshop costs low, and most workshops are open to the public, with some member-only offerings.
Public programs
Public programs bring a variety of organizations to the space in order to broaden the conversation around design. In particular, the Design Museum Presents series is a free lecture series in which the museum partners with other organizations to discuss themes related to the current exhibition.
