What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
LICC Performing Ensembles
LICC is comprised of five ensembles.
Each of our ensembles participates in weekly rehearsals, where they receive formal choral instruction and education in music literacy and vocal technique as well as performance.
There are two formal concerts each season as well as a solo showcase. In addition, there are approximately 5 additional performances at outside venues. Four of these performances will have a community service emphasis.
A scholarship fund has been established though the generous support of our patrons to help defray tuition fees for deserving singers.
LICC Choir for a Cause Community Outreach
LICC prides itself on being the "Choir for a Cause". LICC awards an annual grant to a local charity, chosen by our members from a pool of applicants. The chosen charity is then honored at our Spring Concert and receives a portion of the concert proceeds.
Members of the choir typically perform 8-10 community service oriented events each season. Our ensembles have performed at events for many local charities, as well as at local hospitals and nursing homes.
LICC Scholarships
LICC firmly believes that financial concerns should not be a barrier to music education. To that end, a scholarship fund has been established though the generous support of our patrons to help defray tuition fees.
Scholarships consist of a percentage of tuition, as determined and if awarded by the Board of Directors.
In addition, LICC has established a special Bridge Scholarship to enable students from local underserved communities to join the LICC family.
