Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
SOTF aims to bring the best talent in the military to the best companies in America and help each flourish through alignment and shared values.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We cultivate employment opportunities for these special operations veterans by guiding them from the world they know (the military) to the world that is unfamiliar to them (the private sector). Starting with psychological assessments, skills asset inventories and cultural alignment batteries, we work with each individual Fellow to confirm interests, recommend industries and even specific cultural alignments. Next, our Fellows are introduced to mentors and an individualized and personalized step-by-step action plan that generates optimal job opportunities for the Fellow founded upon their interests, strengths, and preferences. Finally, Special Operators Transition Foundation provides contract negotiation and comparative decision analysis services for our Fellows and their families to maximize value and satisfaction.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our organization is led by former Special Operators who understand the transition struggle firsthand. Our corporate partnerships, including Bank of America, Deloitte, SunTrust, \u0026 Fox Sports, help us raise awareness and help our mission gain respect across the country. We have a very engaged Board of Directors that helps tap into donors and new markets. Our involved Alumni are key to our success as they help pay it forward, not only with job opportunities are their companies, but in showing our candidates that transitoning is a struggle for everyone and they are not alone. Our program is very high-touch, therefore our program is tailored to the candidate to help them get the most out of our services and their transition.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
To date, we have assisted over 191 Special Operations veterans transition to their next great career, which means we have helped over 400 people and families once again find professional stability. We were FOX Sports\u0027 2016 Military Partner of the Year, and continue a close relationship with them. We have successfully executed over 25 large scale events and will break into three new markets in the next year and every year.
