What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Rescue and Rehabilitate

Pasture pals Equine Rescue Volunteers will accept equines that are capable of being rehabilitated and rehomed. Volunteers asses the animal off sight, before it is accepted into the program. Animals that we are able to rehabilitate are then brought to the quarantine area, given vet checks, and their physical needs and training are evaluated and addressed. After the animals health is restored, they are again evaluated to move to one of the pastures for further training and possible rehoming.

Population(s) Served
Adults

Pasture Pals Equine Rescue, Inc. after rehabilitating the animals accepted to the program, will rehome the animals to permanent new homes within a 3 year period. Every animal will have an adoption contract of 1-5 years, in which time they can be returned to or taken back by the rescue if they are not properly cared for and maintained. Adoption fees will be from 1/3 to 1/2 of the monetary investment in the animal.

Population(s) Served
Adults

This program is in it's infancy and is expanding daily. In the next year we hope to implement many more public education and therapy programs. Pasture Pals Equine Rescue, Inc. has computer based learning materials available year round to all volunteers. Hands on Training is conducted by experienced volunteers and administrators on a daily basis. All volunteers must attend a Meet and Greet orientation and pear with an experienced volunteer for the first month or 5 visits.
