Mission
The purpose of Lamorinda CERT Foundation is to: (a) Provide equipment and supplies for Lamorinda CERT to: a. Teach personal and neighborhood emergency preparedness. b. Provide assistance to disaster responders and victims. c. Help our communities be safer. (b) Promote public awareness of the CERT program and the need for emergency preparedness. (c) Raise funds to support Lamorinda CERT.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Raise funds to support the training mission of the Lamorinda CERT team. Funds are used to buy teaching supplies and equipment and backpacks with helmets, goggles, gloves, etc. for the program graduates.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We raise funds through providing traffic control to local events and by fundraising from local merchants.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
While we have trained over 500 people, we have a core of about 70 graduates who regularly provide services on behalf of the foundation at local events to raise funds.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Each year get more interest in using CERT team members to provide traffic control for local events. We also have more local companies providing support to our team.
