Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Our mission is to add value and education to the communities we serve by providing a hand up not a hand out. We help families by providing them a weeks worth of groceries that can help them stay in their homes and ease the burden of paying the rent or putting food on the table. We also empower the community to become part of the solution in their community by creating leadership roles and helping people gain skills and experience that can help acquire higher wages and leadership roles in the workforce. Our goal is to rebuild stories one life at a time.

Our Strategy is to continue working with our community partners and establishing leaders that can continue running our programs in different locations across Central Florida. We have been establishing relationships with Community Centers to offer our Gentle Bottoms Diaper Assistance program on a monthly and soon twice a month basis. We are also launching Manna For Life Food Distribution Centers in South Orlando and soon expanding to Kissimmee area. Part of our strategy is to apply what we have learned so far to better serve the community and link key resources so the people can come get their support and leave with valuable information and a plan to better their lives if possible.

The Orlando Dream Center has a Dream Team of Leaders and Volunteers who are able and capable of the mission of the Dream Center. However, as much as we want we can't do this on our own and we are actively seeking new opportunities from community leaders, local and nationwide companies, and other organizations to meet and exceed expectations and make real change in the lives of the lest fortunate and impoverish community and anybody who is seeking for help, education or a helping hand.

This year alone we have accomplished much more than any other years combined. This year we have been blessed to feed over 5000 people and over 50,000 pounds with our Manna For Life Food Pantry and Food Drop events. We have also been able to give out over 4500 Diapers and over 500 Baby Wipes. Our Goal is to double last years 200 Turkeys to 400 Turkeys this year.

Data
  • We disaggregate data to adjust programming goals to keep pace with changing needs of the communities we support.
Policies and processes
  • We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
  • We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
