California Technology Assessment Forum (CTAF)
CTAF—one of three nationally recognized, regionally based forum—aids and openly engages patients, clinicians, life science companies and insurers to rigorously evaluate the effectiveness and value of prescription drugs, medical tests, and other health care innovations. Concluding an eight month process of stakeholder engagement and public comment, CTAF convenes publicly three times a year to review the evidence of a selected therapy, deliberate and vote on the clinical effectiveness and value based on available evidence, and discuss how to best apply the evidence to policy and practice. All meetings are webcast and archived on ICER’s website.
