What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Take all veterans as our guests to Washington D.C. to see the memorials that honor their service
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Do outreach in our service are, San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties to find veterans and have them submit an application to Honor Flight Central Coast California. In addition, do fundraising to raise the money needed to take veterans on their Tour of Honor.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We do outreach at local events and veteran organizations in order to find veterans. We solicit donations from individuals, business, organization along with submitting grant request to private foundations.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
As of January 2019 we have taken 280 veterans on their Tour of Honor. We have three trips scheduled for 2019.
