Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Sponsor a Veteran
Sponsor a Veteran to become a qualified volunteer for the program.
Diving Inclusion Program
This provides a SCUBA Diving adventure for people with disabilities. Working with our specially trained volunteers, people with disabilities can experience the independence of SCUBA diving and the therapeutic value of the water.
Diving Therapy Program
With this program, a person living with disability makes diving an extension of their rehabilitation program. This provides for diving once or twice a month (depending on the physician's authorization) to help promote exercise of the whole body and serenity for the mind. Some health insurance plans may cover or supplement this program.
Coral Restoration Initiative
Partners with local research group to maintain coral reef nurseries in the Florida Reef Tract, and then restore the coral reef by utilizing our participants (veterans and individuals with disabilities) to plant new coral in the Atlantic Ocean.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We strive to make SCUBA Diving an available recreational therapy for veterans, individuals with disabilities, and other special need groups. As a therapy, SCUBA Diving treats the whole person, not just the impairment.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Diving Inclusion Program:
Brings individuals to Discover SCUBA Experiences to discover the benefits of diving as a recreational therapy.
Sponsor a Veteran Program:
Provides for a veteran to get certified, obtain SCUBA Diving equipment, and do followup dives at regular intervals to achieve the maximum benefit of the SCUBA Diving as a therapy. Providing the SCUBA gear allows them to continue the therapy beyond our programs.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have strict, enforced guidelines for our providers of services. With a large, ever-growing, network of well-trained volunteers we are capable of assisting for individuals with many different levels of impairment or disability.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Our organization, since inception, has provided SCUBA Diving events for more than 1,300 veterans and individuals with disabilities. Next, we are looking for increased grant and corporation sponsorship to increase that number.
In addition, we are looking for qualified preferred providers and sponsors in other areas to expand the program across the nation.
