Participants learn how to sail while racing in a friendly competitive atmosphere. These events offer a great opportunity to enjoy camaraderie, healthful activity and the therapeutic experience of sailing.

U.S. PATRIOT Sailing offers weekly sailing opportunities departing from the Port Annapolis Participants learn how to sail while racing in a friendly competitive atmosphere. These events offer a great opportunity to enjoy camaraderie, healthful activity and the therapeutic experience of sailing. Overnight and out-of-area racing opportunities supported by the Annapolis Team.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
U.S. Patriot Sailing aims to create a sustainable National program and funding that supports Veteran physical and mental wellbeing via access to the therapeutic benefits of the sport of sailing.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
U.S. Patriot Sailing utilizes public and private grants, private donations, and gift in-kind to achieve our stated mission. As an all volunteer program, our annual revenue is efficiently applied across the operations. Gifted assets are key to the longterm sustainability funding of this Veteran program.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
U.S. Patriot Sailing is a recipient of several public, private and federal grants that are directly aimed at our mission. With less than 1% administrative cost, our efficiencies maximize our progress to sustainable funding.
U.S. Patriot successfully maintains a gift/yacht donation program in accordance with IRS 502(c)3 regulations. This part of the program allows both current operations and longterm programatic funding support.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
U.S. Patriot sailing has steadily increased both our operations (participant throughput) and total assets by over 600% across the past five (5) years.
