What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Our Harvest Rescue Strategic Plan aims at impacting the following: - Food waste reduction with our food rescue efforts. - Hunger relief with our food access programs. - Promoting healthier lifestyles by providing donated fruits and vegetables as our primary food distribution. - Contributing to environmental preservation and conservation with informing the community about food composting to reduce landfill strains.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Reach Back Raise Up Fund "Always Connected"

Through our #ReachBackRaiseUp "Always Connected" kick-off initiative we will be providing 500 laptops equipped with LTE (no Wi-Fi, no problem) and monthly data plans to families in need. The laptops will be installed with all of the necessary digital tools needed to upload national education lesson plans and develop resources and study tips for on-line and long-distance classes. Our goal is to empower all students so they can fully participate in online classes with confidence because they have the tools they need, for as long as they need.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

1. 1,000 children and families served per month / 40,000 pounds of produce distributed at no cost.
2. Establish community produce markets in in the food insecure geographies supported to provide a low-cost, high quality option.
3. $3 Million USD raised per year to support the Harvest Rescue Program objectives.

• Establish strategic partnerships with food banks and other food donor sources to supply high quality produce.
• Participate in food access council subcommittees in the geographies we serve to understand the vulnerability indexes and food access services heat maps to identify the gaps.
• Raise awareness about the hunger, food insecurity, and food waste issues and the impact it has on all of us.

• Resourcefulness and operations on both the U.S. East and West coasts.
• Relationships with partners who empower us to achieve shared goals.
• Philosophy and approach to exceptional execution and delivery in all our endeavors.

10,000 pounds (lbs) per month of fresh produce donated to under-resourced communities since 2021.
