The Ride for Food

The Ride for Food is a charity, cycling event that enables hunger relief organizations to raise much needed funds and awareness for their respective operations and program budget.

Population(s) Served

The annual Ultimate Food Rescue Challenge is a charity dinner held at a Boston restaurant in August for 180 foodies, donors, partners, press and sponsors who want to support hunger relief in a fun and engaging manner. The event, complete with a live auction, raises awareness regarding food insecurity and food waste in Massachusetts. Six, local celebrity chefs transform rescued food into a small-bites tasting menu. Ingredients are collected hours before the event and the chefs are challenged to quickly and creatively produce dazzling dishes for attendees. This is also a unique opportunity to engage with Boston chefs about their creations and the focus on how we look at food and our food systems.

Population(s) Served

During the Covid-19 pandemic, TSNE needed to pivot like many other nonprofits in order to raise funds for our hunger relief partners. At which time, we created Off the Beaten Path, a virtual event where by individuals could do any activity of their choice virtually and raise money for their charity. Participants can bike, spin, run, walk, hike, kayak or whenever activity makes them happy! It has now become a popular event we run along side of the Ride for Food.
