Mission

A community-wide network of volunteers brought together who can act quickly through the circulation of information using social media to rally support to search for the missing, communicate with law enforcement, media, and each other in a coordinated and focused manner to provide guidance and support to families and friends of people who are missing and may be in extreme danger of harm or injury. It is our vision that…No stone will be unturned, no site unsearched, and no soul is left alone. We are people helping people find people.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Search and Rescue Program

The Ground Search and Rescue (SAR) Program is considered the basic search program for personnel who have responsibilities to respond to a SAR incident as a field searcher.

Search Specialists have an understanding of SAR fundamentals, lost person behavior, scope of SAR operations, SAR resources, search techniques, and search crew field operations.

SAR Personnel are trained to function on a SAR mission as specified in the ESDA Administrative Rule, as emergency responders, and are involved in a search incident during the normal course of their duties, and are trained to work alongside police, fire, emergency management, and park & recreation personnel .

Each SAR member has basic compass knowledge.
