What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

We believe that there is a difference between Islam and Islamic religious thought. The original teachings of Islam are intact in the Quran and Sunnah, while the religious thought is a human effort, therefore prone to mistakes. The majority of scholars of Islam have declared the religious thought defined during earlier centuries, as sacred and not open to revisions. We believe this is not the right approach and religious thought should continue to evolve. Another problem we feel with the most prevalent Islamic interpretations is the original message of the Quran has been shrouded by historical incidences. We strive to change that order and bring the Quran & Sunnah over history. We believe that the Farahi School of thought has done an excellent job in reconstructing religious thought in Islam and purified it from corruption added to it by mysticism, fiqh, Ilm ul Kalam, sectarianism. We strive to evolve and spread this message through research, education, and dissemination.

Help Us In Promoting An Objective Understating of Islam
Our mission is to teach people how to explore, understand, discuss, and practice Islam based on reason, rationality, and objective thinking rather than blindly following it as a creed.

Ask Ghamidi is an app and a web platform where our community engages in meaningful discussions on a daily basis in order to collectively understand Islam. Many youths ask and find answers to pointed questions without the fear of being judged. People from all walks of life gain a deeper understanding of their religion regardless of their age, gender, faith, or any other discriminating factor. We think that providing this platform is one of the best kinds of dawah because it allows people to learn Islam as a result of their own effort!

Ask Ghamidi community is growing quickly, and in order to support this growth, we need to maintain the best possible infrastructure. There are also a number of features and enhancements that we need to work on so that we can continue to provide our community with a great experience in their learning.

We are certain that our community won’t let us down, and make generous contributions so that each one of us can benefit for the days and years to come. Moreover, every time someone uses the app, you get a reward that’s worth its weight in gold!

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We aim to provide research and educational environment where religious thought of Islam can continue to evolve and get revisited. We want to form an educational institute where Islam is taught as a form of knowledge, based on reason and logic and not as a creed.

We plan to achieve this through the following initiatives:
- Translate the research already done into other languages
- Support further research projects
- Educate youth and adults through on-line and on-premises courses.
- Create audio/visual content.
- Disseminate the content created at Ghamidi Center through social media channels
- Reach out to local communities all around the US and introduce our approach.
- Provide forums and tools to the students to be critical of our opinions and ask questions.

- Build a translation house, capable of translating hundreds of pages every month into the English language

- Build a donor base and raised hundreds of thousand dollars
