What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Group X Programs

One to three hour monthly programs featuring licensed group exercise instructors leading diverse disciplines including cardio-kickboxing, Barre, Zumba, Pole-Fit, Yoga, Cycling and Strength. We raise money for health related causes and qualified indivduals. To date we have benefitted Cancer Support Community VVSB, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, American Diabetes Association, Alzheimer's Foundation, a 50 year old man suffering complications from Diabetes 2 and a 2 year old with Lymphoma. Fit 4 the Cause doubled the number of clients it serves through its Group X Programs in 2019.

Fit 4 the Cause delivered its Move, Dance, Breathe program for the first three months of 2019 before sponsoring it to become an independent nonprofit organization. A method created by Fit 4 The Cause master trainers, this program incorporates warm-ups, cardio, strength training, balance and stretch in a fun-filled, encouraging environment. This structure works particularly well for seniors and other groups with a variety of movement challenges.

Our weekly Zumba classes continue at Many Mansions, assisted living for low-income residents. We have also added food prep and nutrition classes to our service coverage at Many Mansions. We have provided licensed weight loss coaches to residents who were diagnosed as dangerously obese and improved their health. After our service provision, Many Mansions residents have quit smoking, improved their nutritional intake and have committed to healthier living. We serve an estimated 400 Many Mansion residents.

Economically disadvantaged people

Once or twice weekly, Fit 4 The Cause offers a small group fitness community class at no cost to service recipients. These classes don’t exceed 10 participants so the instructor can give individual attention and suggest regression or progression for people who have special needs or injuries. Each class includes warm-ups, cardio, endurance, strength functional fitness and cool-downs. Nutritional guidance is also provided for community participants.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Fit 4 The Cause works to create a healthier world with fewer barriers to physical fitness and more opportunities for individuals to take control of their futures through improving their health.

Devoting every day to ascertaining its community's health needs, Fit 4 The Cause makes an incredible impact bringing Zumba®, Strength-Training, Tai-Chi, Yoga, Kickboxing and other free community classes and programs into the lives of people who previously had little or no physical activity.

Fit 4 The Cause is deliberately expanding its board presence with medical professionals, providing up-to-date, top-tier wellness curricula for fragile seniors, at-risk youth and special populations with limited motor skills affected by injury or illness. A team of volunteers, medical professionals and fitness professionals provide at least 40 hours a month of wellness education to those in need.

Fit 4 The Cause nurtures deeper connections between participants and organizations in their community through wellness education. We plan to expand our reach in launching “Fit 4 The Cause 2 Go"—The community's first fitness studio on wheels. This mobile gym will deliver fitness to our community's doorsteps-from in-home beneficiaries who have limited mobility to underserved groups who rarely have the opportunity to enjoy endorphin-induced exhilaration. This includes after school programs, assisted living facilities, hospitals and multiple community partners requesting our wellness education services. We are now serving 1,000 elementary school students at Ocean View School District in Oxnard and expanding to Point Hueneme School district through a very impactful dance fit/physical fitness program. Attendance, focus and behavior have improved significantly reinforced by a teacher, principals, student, parent survey. We are now entering year two.
