ISW Academy

ISW Academy was developed to serve children ages 2 to 18 with developmental delays and disabilities, specifically those who have not yet found success in traditional educational settings.

At ISW Academy, we take a whole-child, “bottom-up” approach to development and learning. We aim to give each child the tools necessary to find success in a group environment. To achieve this, we develop a customized, sensory-based plan that targets a child’s specific developmental needs. Children improve self-regulation, emotional regulation, communication, and attention with our highly intensive, individualized approach. An increase in awareness, independence, and academic performance, and social behavior is seen. Our program offers a small student-to-teacher ratio of 3:1 or 4:1.

We strongly believe that children are more than their diagnosis, and we strive to lift them up and celebrate their individuality while preparing them for their next stage of life.

Our recreational camps welcome children of all abilities, ages 2 to 18! Campers are placed in groups based on an age range, developmental level, and personal interests. Our camp schedule helps keep children in a daily routine during school breaks. During our summer camps, besides maintaining skills, we use our unique model to regulate the sensory system and target developmental skills that children might not focus on during the school year. Our campers enjoy unique experiences through creative activities, special programs, and community outings! Our goal is not only to entertain but to prepare our campers for inclusive opportunities in the community.
