Mission

AIHC is a tribally driven non-profit organization with a mission of improving health outcomes for American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/AN) through a health policy focus at the Washington State level. AIHC works on behalf of the 29 federally-recognized Indian Tribes and two Urban Indian Health Organizations in the state, providing a forum for the Indian Health Delivery System in Washington State to work together on state level issues impacting the care provided to American Indians and Alaska Natives across our state.

Medicaid Transformation

AIHC serves as the coordinating entity support Indian Health Care Provider (IHCP) Medicaid Transformation projects across the state. The work includes educating accountable communities of health, managed care entities and other state/county organizations on the Indian Health delivery system in our state, support IHCP project implementation and reporting. The AIHC delegation serve as the decision making body for approving IHCP reporting.
