Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Lack of education when it comes to making informed decisions about purchasing a home. Also addressing the financial literacy deficit that exists in the low and moderate income communities
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Pre-Purchase and Post-Purchase Homeowner Education
The HREBA Project as all of our education projects will be geared towards low and moderate income populations in the Tarrant County area. The market strategy to be used will identify residents currently leasing an apartment or home. The intent is to supply them with tools and resources they will use when making their decision to purchase and sustain an affordable home of their own. This education is provided by licensed Real Estate professional members of the the organization who volunteer their time. The workbook will serve as a reference manual and the added resource materials that will be provided will help them possibly acquire financial assistance and further individual counseling by HUD Certified counselors. This combination of education and resources will give the community the confidence to believe in the possibility of obtaining the American Dream of home ownership. This in turn will benefit neighborhoods, cities and the county. Our utmost goal for the future is to coordinate local programs to develop and construct affordable housing in Tarrant County.

- We ask team members to identify racial disparities in their programs and / or portfolios.
- We analyze disaggregated data and root causes of race disparities that impact the organization's programs, portfolios, and the populations served.
- We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
