Mission

The mandate on Thrive! Dance Ministries is one of healing and deliverance under a teaching and training mantel. The ministry style is interactive - in a 'learn by doing' environment - where we provide hands on workshops, seminars & conferences on a variety of subjects like: dance & movement in scripture; creative & artistic worship; prophetic dance and more! These ministry aspects are paired alongside choreography and technique training in ballet, modern, and core strength development.

What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Thrive! Dance Ministries seeks to equip the church for biblical expression of Worship Movement. Dance in scripture was very much a part of the worship experience. All through the Psalms we see how the psalmists themselves lifted their hands. - Psalm 134:2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord; bowed down - Psalm 5:7 But I, by your great love, can come into your house; in reverence I bow down toward your holy temple; entered in - Psalm 96:8 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts. When we put these together in movement - we are dancing! The Lord Himself dances over us with singing - Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will dance for joy over you with singing. The church is in need of proper technique training ; as well as, biblical instruction of character and integrity in ministry.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Bring the worship arts back to the church in worship; specifically in the area of movement and dance. Bring an expression in movement to the people of all ages in impoverished countries; where dance training is a luxury or not available at all through dance technique training. Educate the church global on the significance of movement in our worship expression and the bible instruction in the character of the minister.

* Local workshops and conferences in the St. Louis area. Making general training opportunities available in my local area.

* National conferences. Two-days of training and practical expression.

* Mission Trips. Reaching the globe with the worship in dance.

Currently, I am the only teacher/minister. I utilize social media to network with churches and groups that want to begin a team or enhance their ministry/dance expression. Workshops and conferences are scheduled and are either paid per individual registration or flat rate/love offering basis.

Thrive opens mission opportunities to other dancers in the networks that I participate in.

Reaching Central Asia, Haiti and the Philippines is a great accomplishment. Hearing of churches and groups that have formed their teams and are actively worshipping in movement - Haiti and Russia.

I haven't been able to establish a consistent donor base. I haven't been able to reach the "Local" goal I've set. A four to six hour radius around the St. Louis Area.
