KC English Bulldog Rescue

KC English Bulldog Rescue is a charitable organization relying upon public fundraising to obtain funds to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home purebred Bulldogs (also known as English Bulldogs). These activities are to facilitate the Veterinary care needed including spay and neuter and other medical care for these Bulldogs. We are committed to following the Guidelines of the Bulldog Club of America Rescue Network, Inc. (a National 501(c) (3) organization) and to maintain these Bulldogs in foster homes during their evaluation and pre and post surgical care whenever possible. We will accept Bulldogs from owner surrenders, Animal Shelters, Animal Control Facilities, Veterinary referrals and abuse and cruelty cases. We are here to help any Bulldog in need of care and support. We then identify appropriate homes for these Bulldogs, and monitor and support them in their new homes until end of life.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

KC English Bulldog Rescue is an organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes English Bulldogs who have been surrendered by their owners, are in animal shelters or have otherwise found themselves homeless and in need. Our goal is to find permanent loving homes for these bulldogs as well as educate the public about this wonderful breed.

We plan to accomplish our goal by working with private owners, local shelters and our volunteer network to identify and bring in bulldogs who are in need of rescue. Together with our veterinarians and our volunteers KC English Bulldog Rescue will address the medical and socialization needs of all the bulldogs who enter our care. Once the dogs are healthy (physically and mentally) KC English Bulldog Rescue will place them in pre-screened homes who are capable of caring for the needs of the dogs (both physically and mentally). We hope to use our platform to help educate current and future owners of the breed by sharing our knowledge, experience and expertise.

KC English Bulldog Rescue's capabilities will be enhanced by our experienced & knowledgeable volunteers who foster each of the adoptable dogs in their private homes, where the volunteers can better address any needs that the dog may have. KC English Bulldog Rescue will work hand in hand with our volunteers, veterinarians and trainers as needed to ensure that the dogs are getting the best care available.

Measurable progress can be tracked by the number of successful placements of adoptable dogs into permanent and loving homes. In August 2014 KC English Bulldog Rescue officially took in their first foster dogs. With only 4 months of the year remaining the rescue took in 10 dogs. In 2015 we took in 23 bulldogs; 2016 35 and 2017 46. Progress moving forward would be to continue to take in, rehabilitate, and place dogs in homes at a similar rate. In 2018 and in the future KC English Bulldog Rescue hopes to participate in more educational outreach opportunities (health seminars hosted by one of our vets, meet and greets at local businesses, and perhaps participation in different "all breed" events) to help inform the public about our existence as well as educate people about the needs and requirements for this wonderful breed.
