What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

An estimated 40.3 million people are in modern slavery all over the world. This generates an estimated $150 billion in illegal profits every year, making forced labor the second largest international crime. Modern slavery includes bonded labor or debt bondage, forced labor, child slavery, domestic servitude, forced child marriage, and human trafficking.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Freedom United aims to unify individuals and organizations from across the globe together, around one common goal--to end human trafficking and modern slavery.

We leverage the voice of our 8 million member community to support our partner nonprofits around the world. Using this amplification for their work, our partners influence business, governments and society to make the changes necessary to eliminate the demand for or acceptance of modern slavery. The outcome is a world without slavery, with millions being freed, restored and economies rebuilt to never allow slavery to exist again.

Freedom United has a team of experts in the fields of both modern slavery and digital marketing, advised by survivor advocates. Our modern slavery experts ensure that each partner nonprofit is thoroughly vetted and each campaign will have positive impact in the movement to end slavery. Our digital marketing experts ensure that our website is effective in helping our community learn more about the cause and take actions that create real change.

We have a community of over 8 million people and a partner network of over 75 nonprofit organizations from around the world. We have launched almost 100 campaigns, almost a third of which have been successful in creating impact in the fight against human trafficking and modern slavery. We are working to grow our community, ensuring that our voices are heard by governments, business, and society as a whole--demanding the end of slavery.
