What we aim to solve
Brandeis Marin aspires to create a sustainable 21st century Jewish day school in Marin County (for this time and this place, in a multicultural and interfaith community). To achieve this, over the next five years, we will focus on: ●Focusing on creating capacity in our middle school, as an engine for growth ●Re-imagining our Kindergarten program to produce greater demand for entry ●Differentiating our program by creating a curriculum focused on character-building and leadership alongside exceptional academics ●Achieving financial sustainability at an operating level, and growing our capacity for capital investment as well as our long-term reserves.

Education comes alive for our Lower School students through fully integrated, project-based curriculum and grade-specific themes.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Strategic Initiatives and Goals
I. We will deliver an innovative curriculum that integrates exceptional academics with Jewish values, with an emphasis on leadership, social responsibility, music, arts and culture.
II. We will focus on the development of character and leadership. We will deliver a student experience that is focused on the individual where each child will be known, supported and cared for through personalized attention to learn and perform to the best of his or her ability (student experience)
III. We will strengthen and maintain a warm, welcoming and caring community
IV. Our school will be a magnet for the brightest professionals who wish to innovate, grow and invest their career in this community.
V. In order to fully achieve the school’s mission and strategic actions, we will develop a capital plan, achieve financial sustainability, and invest in annual operating budgets that support innovation and high quality education.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
1. To deliver an innovative curriculum, we will :
>develop and deploy a model program of Jewish learning and experiences that is integrated with Core Academics:
> expand project-based learning throughout the school to deepen student engagement, enhance personalized learning opportunities and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of different learners
> expand global awareness through Israel education and a curriculum that gives students an opportunity to explore, appreciate and study other cultures.
> develop our Israel education curriculum to emphasize the diversity of Jewish communities living there and provide students with an opportunity to encounter the diverse populations and cultures in the Jewish homeland.
2. To support character and leadership development, we will:
> create a center of excellence for child-centered well-being for kids K-8 with emphasis on social emotional support, wellness, and developing character and values
> refine our admissions process so that it has clear criteria and is transparent
> provide a safe environment in which all children are treated with dignity
> invest in training in differentiated instruction for our faculty and deploy differentiated learning strategies wherever possible
3. where:
>all forms of Jewish practice are honored and celebrated
>all families interested in a values-based education are welcome here,
> family education connects student learning in the classroom to family life,
>communication between school and home is strong, current and informative,
>parent education and ongoing adult education are woven into the fabric of the school calendar
>new members to the community (faculty, staff, families and students) are onboarded with intentionality and attention to detail as well as inclusion
4. ●We will :
>ensure competitive compensation and benefits that are above average for Marin County
> provide ongoing professional development for faculty in cutting edge pedagogies.
> set professional development budgets at best practice levels (1.5% to 3% of operating budget)
> nurture a strong home-school partnership with families and cultivate strong relationships among community members
