Plant-based Prevention Of Disease, Inc. (“P-POD”) is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, providing accredited continuing education to practitioners, educators. activists and students in health-related fields. The national P-POD Conferences seek to advance public health via evidence-based investigation of how society’s major chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes and chronic kidney disease, may largely be prevented, or even reversed, via whole food plant-based nutrition and allied lifestyle changes among individuals and in communities, giving special attention to health equity. P-POD accepts zero funding or influence from commercial sources, and strives to maintain affordable event admission fees.
