Our goals is continual growth as a 1-Stop Resource Hub in Outreach Ministries who has an integral part in servicing immediate short term needs in our in our communities, expedite wrap-around referrals and arming families with the tools to effectively navigate thru challenging circumstances.
We believe to maintain integrity in delivery of services, commitment and partnering with other organizations with similar goals and objectives. We try to stay abreast of things in our state by engaging and attending pertinent state and local informational sessions, participate in process of disseminating information from state and government agencies. We especially pay close attention to Health and Social Services arenas because we know that once federal changes are implemented, we need to embrace how this affects the state and local benefits levels which in turn effects our target populations. We also work closely with department of Labor to ensure we are aware of job skills and training and hiring events.
We tend to strategize based off our strengths, weaknesses and limitations to accomplish a goal and we set forth with a Plan of Action to meet and/or exceed our expectation. We have found in the few years of operation that although volunteerism tends to slack off, we like to be able to offer some sort of compensation if we can so we go into overdrive to provide incentives. Whether we get interns to assist with certain areas who'll need Field Instruction to fulfill their curriculum vitae or those who have been cleared by DOC (Dept of Corrections) to fulfill community service hours to assists some events monitored, suitable and age appropriate. In addition, we have solicited friends and family members and co-workers to help make very event and goal a success.
We do pre/post interview to assess the needs and resources the person or family has received. We ask them to rate their participation level to remain engaged and updated about our efforts and if they feel the program has helped them to a point where they would refer volunteers or would become one. We like to get them engaged as well as every sponsor, donor and partner we've ever sough help from to accomplish our goals.
We have accomplished and maintain a Unique Giving Hearts Closet with quality items for emergency needs. We are in our 4th year as Ambassadors for Change addressing Health and Human Services concerns such as; Food Supplements, Healthy Diet, Mental Health Awareness & Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain. This year, 2/2019 we initiated a "Show Yourself Love" Challenge to Raise Awareness for Child Suicide and How Social Media effects the way we project other's perception of us inwardly and how to process low self esteem effectively. As a result of this initiative, we did a color book for donations of women from all walks of life & success to post a "Filter-Free-Selfie" in lieu of Raising Awareness for this initiative. 2/2019 we are trying to solidify a location to host a mother/daughter dinner for this cause and share stories of overcoming cyber bulling, low self esteem and especially establish mentorship. We are excited about this initiative as well as our Annual Event Fibromyalgia Event 2019.
