Our Outreach Ministries is structured around family, caregiver and community needs and resources. We place an emphasis on a Holistic Approach to serving our communities. This entails mental health, goals to self-sufficiency, displacement, unforeseen hardships that require short term immediate help and needs such as; clothes from our Giving Hearts Clothes Closet, Food Pantry and Hotel Room Discount Partnership. We pride ourselves on Servant Leadership and being infectious and unorthodox about the way we assess the needs of those we service and how we can utilize our educational and professional skills, talents and abilities within the organization. Operating under the umbrella of over 6 outreach departments of expertise, we cover an array of areas in education, leadership, empowerment and an Outreach Media Hub hosting an essential online presence for NonProfit partners to post their resources so we can in turn filter the information out to the public in the State of Delaware.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

1 Touch Ministries, Inc. aims to accomplish providing an optimal carousel of services that is an unrestricted, unorthodox way of serving people who are trying to ascertain a level of freedom but who may also struggle from time-to-time. We would like to become a stand out, stand alone Community Services agency catered to meet the culturally unique needs of every person we serve. We stay in the know via training to always maintain cultural sensitivity and diversity in the helping fields and we are committed to optimal level of cultural sensitivity and diversity. We wish to establish and maintain a level of consistency and attainable service that will educate and enhance our community's lives beyond their immediate need. We desire to create a momentum of raising Servant Leaders to teach others how to travail thru adversity. Our Outreach Ministries is an integral part in servicing immediate short term needs in our in our communities, expedite wrap-around referrals and arming families with the tools to effectively navigate thru challenging circumstances and remain their 1-Stop Resource Hub.

We believe to maintain integrity in delivery of services, commitment and partnering with other organizations with similar goals and objectives. We try to stay abreast of things in our state by engaging and attending pertinent state and local informational sessions, participate in process of disseminating information from state and government agencies. We especially pay close attention to Health and Social Services arenas because we know that once federal changes are implemented, we need to embrace how this affects the state and local benefits levels which in turn effects our target populations. We also work closely with department of Labor to ensure we are aware of job skills and training and hiring events.

We tend to strategize based off our strengths, weaknesses and limitations to accomplish a goal and we set forth with a Plan of Action to meet and/or exceed our expectation. We have found in the few years of operation that although volunteerism tends to slack off, we like to be able to offer some sort of compensation if we can, so we go into overdrive to provide incentives. Whether we get interns to assist with certain areas who'll need Field Instruction to fulfill their curriculum vitae or those who have been cleared by DOC (Dept of Corrections) to fulfill community service hours to assists some events monitored, suitable and age appropriate. In addition, we have solicited friends and family members and co-workers to help make very event and goal a success.

We in 2019, we received a grant to help assist those affected by the Government Shutdown and we were able to payoff tuition costs for child care & school expenses as well as over the counter medication to alleviate families spending their last while trying to figure out re-appropriating funds. Along with that, we were able to give out over varying amounts of gift cards to major food chains and retail to get household needs and food. Our Unique Giving Hearts Closet continues to bless those in need and the year 2020 has been no different. We went into overdrive for quality donations and gently used items to assist families displaced by a four building apartment fire and we will continue to meet emergency needs. We are in our 5th year as Ambassadors for Change addressing Health and Human Services concerns such as; Food Supplements, Healthy Diet, Mental Health Awareness & Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain. In 2/2019 we initiated a "Show Yourself Love" Challenge to Raise Awareness for Child Suicide & How Social Media effects the way we project other's perception of us inwardly and how to process low self esteem effectively. As a result of this initiative, we did color photo book for donations of women from all walks of life & success to post a "Filter-Free-Selfie" in lieu of Raising Awareness for this initiative and share stories of overcoming cyber bulling, low self esteem and especially establish mentorship. We are excited about this initiative as well as our Annual Fibromyalgia Events.
