Mission

The mission of the HorsePower Equine Assisted Learning (HEAL) Foundation is to empower individuals and groups with a safe, professional, and therapeutic equine experience. HEAL supports the limitless emotional growth and healing potential created by the bond between horse and human. HEAL was built to provide equine assisted psychotherapy services (EAP) directly to our veterans, first responders and their families.

Expand service to include first responders and grow the number of veterans and their family members receiving individualized treatment.

Establishing expanded business hours and heightened outreach to other organizations serving veterans and first responders and forming partnerships with Fort Belvoir and Walter Reed Hospital.

A dedicated, educated staff that includes mental health therapists and equine specialists. Control of a facility specifically designed for confidential therapeutic therapy.

Increased participation and exit interviews with clients.

We have been able to dramatically improve the quality of life for individuals we've served and have become a respected and known organization in the community we serve.
