One Horse Saved, Mankind Engaged!
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
The sheer volume of horses still transported to slaughter houses is out of control. The need to eliminate horse slaughter around the world by increasing the need and desire for these animals as well as educating the public on the epidemic to get involved and advocate for the horse and reduction of unnecessary breeding and other measures to reduce the equine population.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Horse Rehabilitation and Rehoming
Horses are searched out by us or brought to us that have been abused, neglected, starved, or other means of mistreatment. We rehabilitate them with a correct diet, health care, training and exercise to bring them back to health mentally and physically. We then re-home them into a loving environment.

Goals & Strategy
Learn about the organization's key goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.
Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We take in all breeds of unwanted, neglected, abused equine, and equine that are in jeopardy of going to slaughter. Rehabilitate these equine as needed with individualized care and training to position them into wanted homes within a specified time period that varies for each equine.
Educating the public on the epidemic of mass amounts of unwanted equine and the need to get involved to reduce and eliminate these animals being slaughtered.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Public awareness, social media, events, print, and also monitoring all these areas for horses in jeopardy. Searching out and frequenting auctions or other venues where horses may be mistreated, abused, or in danger of going to slaughter. Working closely with law enforcement, animal control, assisting with confiscations, and reporting sightings or issues of abuse or cruelty. Partnering with ASPCA and other animal rescue organizations to assist in the overall goal of better welfare for our equine companions.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Recruiting, training, and educating Volunteers to assist with promoting and achieving these goals, Partnering with numerous other Organizations to broaden our reach and increase our ability to make an impact.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Each year we strive to meet or exceed the volume of horses that go through our program and find loving homes. Over the numerous years we have placed more then 200 equine into permanent home situations, in 2018 we placed 38 alone. We are only making a small dent but every horse saved matters and makes a difference. We need to get more people and more organizations involved so that more equine can be helped and served in this manner, every horse deserves to live a full and happy life.
