IIAmericas Celebration: Honoring Indigenous Cultures, Dance and Art

The IIAC event is a 3-day festival celebrating Native American Indian culture. It is open and welcoming to the general public. We design the event so that it is affordable, informational, and fun for families. We want to learn about Native culture with authentic experiences that Native American children will feel proud to attend with their non-Native friends. It has the components of a pow-wow, educational seminars, experiential knowledge, exhibitions, and much more. The event attracts authentic American Indian artists from across the Nation and most recently the addition of an Indigenous Market place brings in Tribes from other countries in the Americas.

This is a year-round educational program geared to educate Indigenous children and their families about the history and medical practices of foods and plants from within our culture. The training is open to the public but the goal is to reach out to urban Native families who do not have direct access to their tribes and nations to build their knowledge.

Population(s) Served

This is a small mobile market that brings products that are used within our culture for medical and ceremonial practices. Also contains artwork and crafts by volunteers within the organization.
