K9 FIRST RESPONDERS INC

Aid & Comfort for those in need.

aka K9FR   |   Milford, CT   |  www.k9fr.org

Mission

Provide aid, comfort and support to the victims and survivors of crisis, tragedy or violence. K9FR uses specially trained K9 Teams to connect and engage people at, or immediately after, critical events to more quickly bridge them to additional mental health supports. Science and medicine have conclusively shown the impact dogs have on lowering blood pressure, stress, anxiety and the related negative stress hormones. This in-turn lowers communication barriers and increases the acceptance of support earlier than later. K9FR Teams are used at active scenes, de-mobilizations, defusings, and debriefings as well as support at vigils, wake and funerals.
