Concerning ourselves with what lasts forever
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Pastors and Christian leaders want to see lives truly transformed but find that while there is an initially positive response to preaching and teaching in their churches, long-term transformation is inconsistent at best and often non-existent. Attempting to develop strategies for improvement, these leaders look to "experts" who have exchanged biblical transformational ministry strategies for secular approaches to shepherding in the local church. Foundations are missing such as a the centrality of God’s Word in Christian ministry, the impact of loving leadership, the value of a servant-leader posture, the requirement of listening to the Holy Spirit, following the Scriptural transformational model, etc. These leaders who longed for transformation can become discouraged and ineffective. Christian leaders in rural areas where leadership training is inaccessible or unattainable economically are particularly vulnerable and in need of assistance in leadership development.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Enduring Treasure Ministries exists to inspire and equip Christian leaders to excel in ministry that transforms. Combining leadership training events and resources with individualized and group coaching, Enduring Treasure seeks to call today's pastors and Christian leaders to biblical models of ministry that can be blessed by God with the success every leader desires. By 2029, we plan to have established nationally-led and governed ministry organizations that will accomplish this mission in each of the African Great Lakes Region countries: Uganda, DRCongo, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania and South Sudan. We have a unique desire to reach leaders in rural areas where educational resources are completely unavailable or economically unattainable.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
From it's inception in 2014, Enduring Treasure Ministries has provided excellent leadership training events and personalized coaching to thousands of American and African Christian leaders. In each new rural location reached by ETM, the following approach is followed:
1. Conduct extensive cultural studies and field research to develop relationships, ascertain needs and design appropriate ministry strategies
2. Provide 3-day, interdenominational training conferences on ministry leadership basics in conjunction with personalized coaching by certified ministry leadership coaches
3. Organize a registered national ministry with a board and staff made up of trusted and qualified national leaders
4. Establish a School of Ministry in various key areas in the country (SOM is a series of 10 one-week modules of practical and biblical ministry training with each module directed toward a specific ministry function)
5. Assist the national board and staff team to move toward independence and self-sustainability
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We believe that "God's Word works" and that when we emphasize biblical principles in our training, we are on solid ground to expect lives and ministries to be transformed.
In it's short life organizationally, Enduring Treasure Ministries has already proven to be effective in establishing a national ministry in Uganda and is well on the way to seeing the same accomplished in both Kenya and DRCongo. The feedback for our leadership training is consistently positive and our coaching approach has been resulted in measurable transformation in the lives of Christian leaders.
In addition, God has blessed this ministry with a wonderful leadership team:
1. Enduring Treasure Ministries is led by an effective board of directors, each with rich experience in both ministry and secular leadership roles. 2. M. Joe Cox, president of Enduring Treasure Ministries, has almost 40 years experience developing leaders. He has served most of his adult life in executive ministry leadership roles and is a certified coach with the International Coach Federation.
3. Julie D. Cox, ETM's Director of Coaching has served in various ministry roles since 1981 and is also an ICF certified coach.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
In it's short life organizationally, Enduring Treasure Ministries has already proven to be effective in establishing a national ministry in Uganda and is well on the way to seeing the same accomplished in both Kenya and DRCongo.
Our next targets are to follow our National Ministry Plan (as outlined above) according to the following schedule:
1. 2021 Kenya
2. 2022 DRCongo
Once these ministries are firmly established, we plan to focus on fund development and field research in the remaining four countries in the region with the goal of having 7 national ministries established by 2029.
