Mission

Canopy Life International provides support for educational work in East Africa, specifically, Canopy Life Academy. CLA is a boarding school in Kenya that develops whole-hearted leaders to bring innovative solutions and businesses back to their communities. We believe a strong foundation of faith, family and business will bring social change that will impact the African century.

Residential Program

CLA's residential program is rooted in belonging and structured like a family where each child’s unique giftedness is nurtured.

Starting with design thinking, CLA equips students with knowledge of business, design, and entrepreneurship as well as hard skills in technology, prototyping and design. CLA's goal is that they have a business idea and plan in place before they graduate high school.

CLA's engaging classroom trains students to ask the right questions rather than memorize the answers, developing critical thinking skills. Classroom activity follows the national curriculum of Kenya (CBC) while adhering to Canopy Life Core Teaching Strategies which engage students in conversation and interaction rather than lecture.

Engaging US individuals in cultural exchange and awareness via travel to Kenya. Trips include cultural exchange with multiple tribes, opportunities to volunteer and serve, raising awareness of the needs of Kenyan students, etc.
