Mission

Our Coupons Care, Inc. uses "Extreme Couponing" to provide food and necessary items to local homeless shelters. I began couponing for the homeless over 5 years ago when I saw on the news that people in my community were having problems feeding their families. I used $500 of babysitting money to buy supplies & food to the shelter. I realized that I needed more than babysitting money to provide for these families. Through donations and auctions I have raised $36,000 has allowed Our Coupons Cares to donate over 200,000 items worth more than $154,000 to various locations! Our Coupons Care won a 2015 Stephan J. Brady Stop Hunger Regional Honorees' grants of $1,000 and 2016 grants of $5,000. Learn more at http://www.ourcouponcares.com and https://www.facebook.com/ourcouponscare

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Provide basic needs to children and families in a homeless shelter by using extreme couponing to purchase items.

We stockpile coupons and do research on what stores have sales every week so that we can maximize the money we raise to provide for the families in the homeless shelter.

In the past five years we have donated over $150,000 worth of items to people in need.

Over the last five years every year we have been able to increase the previous years donations. We have donated school supplies to many underprivileged schools and shelters in our areas. At thanksgiving we have provided items to that the 200 families in the shelter can cook their own meals. throughout the year we donated food and toiletries, whatever we have coupons for, to the shelter so that the families can have the everyday things most people take for granted and make their lives a little easier.
