Programs and results
What we aim to solve
ATG is bringing comfort and hope to the suffering, including: - the poorest of the poor; - the broken-hearted e.g. through the loss of a child, loss of health or finance etc.; - people who are depressed and suicidal, suicide survivors and/or struggling from past abuse; - girls and boys coming out of human/sex trafficking; and - people who have made bad decisions e.g. addicts, the incarcerated. ATG is helping marriages to reach the potential of love, joy and peace that God intended.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Sponsor a Village - To help 1,000 villages (c.0.5M people) out of poverty by 2023. Phase one is to meet their physical needs by providing clean water, mosquito nets, medical aid and food to the poorest of the poor in India. Phase two is to help each village to start sustainable businesses.
Warrior Initiative - Warriors are courageous people who, from their own experience of brokenness, offer comfort and hope to people who are suffering. By 2023, our goal is to recruit:
1,000 Warriors for those who are suffering through:
• The passing of a loved one;
• The breakup of a relationship;
• The loss of health; or
• The loss of finances and possessions.
1,000 Warriors to our Prevent Suicide initiative - to help the depressed, the suicidal and suicide survivors.
1,000 Warriors to help addicts.
100 Warriors to our Restoring Hope to the Captives initiative - to offer envision and equip girls and boys coming out of human/sex trafficking.
100 Warriors for prisoners/ex prisoners.
By 2023, our goal is for 1,000 live Triumph of Marriage courses (c.20,000 people) and 5,000 people using ToM on-line.
By 2023, we want our messages of comfort and hope to be reaching 100M pa.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
How we work
We work with 'best in class' partners.
We never 'recreate the wheel.'
We are laser focused on achieving each goal.
We are ruthless in avoiding distraction.
We make every dollar count.
We always aim for maximum impact from minimum input.
We maintain a small highly skilled core team and work with contractors and volunteers.
We carefully measure progress.
We maintain a good work/life balance.
We aim to be just, kind, merciful and humble.
Sponsor a Village
We raise funds to sponsor a village for a clean water well, mosquito nets, medical aid and food.
We work with a partner in India that has connections with thousands of villages in India.
A Project Manager works on a tight budget and coordinates with the village elders and contractors to survey, drill and implement a pump for clean water. He also monitors and fixes any maintenance issues and collectors photos and testimonies in the village e.g. the impact on the villagers lives. Phase two is to start introducing sustainable businesses in each village.
Warrior Initiative
We recruit and train Warriors including, the production of a 2/3 min video of their story, how to communicate with the suffering and when appropriate how to pass the suffering on to a professional.
We will connect with the suffering through word of mouth, advertising and monitoring search patterns on social media e.g. people searching on depression, how to commit suicide etc.
We will provide an opportunity for the person suffering to speak with someone who has gone through the same pain they are feeling.
We are not trying to fix the sufferer but simply to provide love, comfort and hope.
When appropriate, we will pass the sufferer on to a professional.
In 2019, we plan to recruit 71 Warriors and pilot the process with 30 of these. In 2020 we plan to recruit another 200 Warriors.
Warriors will be recruited, trained and connected on-line to bring comfort and hope to:
the broken-hearted - e.g. through the loss of a loved one, the loss of health or finance etc.;
the depressed, suicidal and suicide survivors;
addicts;
girls and boys coming out of human/sex trafficking; and
prisoners/ex prisoners (communication will be adjusted for this group).
We will advertise and market our Triumph of Marriage resource through word of mouth, on-line and other media.
We will continue to share our message of comfort and hope through all relevant channels including: social media, face to face e.g. churches, conferences, retreats, podcasts, TV, radio, film, books etc.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
The Heart of ATG
The founders of ATG (Gerard and Jeannie Long) have been through fourteen years of unbelievable brokenness including an 8 year period (2005-2014) when their beloved son (Alex - 17) committed suicide after becoming paranoid/delusional following the taking of a drug, their beautiful daughter drowned in an unbelievable accident in Lake Michigan, their marriage nearly failed, Gerard's sister and brother died of cancer and Jeannie's 13 year-old nephew died in a car accident! After Jeannie had a divine encounter, they believe God has called them to share the comfort and love they have received with others who are suffering.
Sponsor a Village - all the pieces are in place and we are delivering clean water wells at the lowest cost we have come across (only $1,900/well) - see results below. As with all of our initiatives, if we had more finance we could significantly scale our operation.
Warrior Initiative - We are recruiting warriors (see results below) and we're establishing and testing the process through 2019 and will go live in 2020. Additional finance will enable us to let the suffering know about the comfort and hope we can give them.
Triumph of Marriage (ToM) - Everything is in place and is working - see results below. Additional finance will enable us to advertise and market ToM on a wider scale.
Comfort and Hope for the Broken-hearted - As above.
Restoring Hope to the Captives - Partners identified and message of hope is available. Additional finance will enable us to speed up the process and launch this initiative in 2020.
Prevent Suicide - We are recruiting warriors (see results below) and we're establishing and testing the process through 2019 and will go live in 2020. Additional finance will enable us to let the suffering know about the comfort and hope we can give them.
Comfort and Hope for Addicts
We are recruiting warriors (see results below) and we're establishing and testing the process through 2019 and will go live in 2020. Additional finance will enable us to let the suffering know about the comfort and hope we can give them.
Comfort and Hope for the Prisoners
Will start recruiting warriors and testing the process in 2020. Additional finance will enable us to let the suffering know about the comfort and hope we can give them.
Restoring Hope to the Captives
We are recruiting warriors (see results below) and we're establishing and testing the process through 2019 and will go live in 2020. Additional finance will enable us to let the suffering know about the comfort and hope we can give them.
Messages of comfort and hope for the suffering - we are using a tried and tested process to post hundreds of messages on the main social media channels and we have an increasing number of requests to speak in churches, conferences, universities, pod casts etc. Additional finance will enable us to let more suffering people know about the comfort and hope we can give them.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Sponsor a Village
The process is established and we're now implementing 5 wells/month
24 villages have received a clean water well and 6 more will be completed by June 30th 2019.
As well as a clean water well, 17 villages have have also received mosquito nets for every home, medical aid and food.
No maintenance issues have been reported to-date.
We have funding/pledges for another 37 villages and we aim to raise funds for another 33 villages by the year end.
Warrior Initiative
23 Warriors have been recruited, we have two videos with several more expected by the month end.
Warrior training is being established and we are investigating different software solutions to identify search patterns on line e.g. if someone is searching how to commit suicide.
We are going live with our Warrior initiative on our web site by June 14th 2019.
Providing Comfort and Hope to the Broken-hearted
Hundreds of messages are going out to hundreds of thousands of people on social media and some face to face speaking engagements.
There have been hundreds of messages including the following testimonies:
"A scripture you shared from Isaiah (Isaiah 43:18-19) brought an immediate flood of tears to me providing much relief and comfort that particular day and continues to comfort me immensely. I know now that I can move forward with renewed understanding of what I was not previously able to bear." Debra, PA
"Much sorrow floods my soul these days, but as I watched you both I felt the presence and love of the Father. It was very real and powerful hearing you speak Jeannie, and so precious seeing Gerard so lovingly supporting you. Thank you with all my heart for reaching out and encouraging us with your very personal testimony of grace and mercy." Ruth CA
