BLUE LETTER BIBLE
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Blue Letter Bible’s main purpose is to provide resources so Christians can read and study God’s Word. In today’s society, the majority of men and women who profess a faith in Christ do not understand or know what their most vital tool says or teaches. Through Blue Letter Bible, we hope to stem the flow of Bible illiteracy that is so common in our present-day culture. We also wish for everyone to have access to the Bible. That is why we offer a variety of versions and Bible study tools for the deepening of personal devotion time, scholastic endeavors, and even teaching from the pulpit.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Welcome to the global classroom! In order to allow anyone, anywhere in the world, to learn more about the Christian faith, the Blue Letter Bible presents the Blue Letter Bible Institute (BLBi).
Vision
Our vision for BLBi is that it will be a complete course of study about what Christianity believes and teaches. The Blue Letter Bible Institute, when eventually completed, will consist of courses that will cover several major areas of Christian belief and practice. A separate textbook will be prepared for each individual course. The various textbooks are now in the process of being written. The textbooks for the various courses are produced as educational tools explaining what Christians believe and why they believe it. Each course in the program is designed to be used for either self-study, home Bible study, or for the classroom. It is our goal to make the Blue Letter Bible Institute the most comprehensive course of study possible.
How Do We Do It?
Blue Letter Bible is a non-profit organization. We are totally dependent upon the generous gifts from those who are blessed by this ministry, as well as those who have a similar vision to reach a dying world with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. If you would like to support the Lord's work through this ministry, you can do so by sending your gift to:

Not A Substitute For The Church
We are not a substitute for the church. If you are able to attend a class at your local church, a Bible Institute, Bible College, or some other type of Christian training center, then, by all means, do so. We are here to supplement the church. Many people are unable to attend Bible classes or Bible school. We hope to fill the need for those who want a thorough biblical education but cannot, for whatever reason, attend classes.
May God richly bless you as you study with us in the Blue Letter Bible Institute.

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Blue Letter Bible’s ultimate goal is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus by making the written Word of God available to all for free. Since our ministry began its journey to spread the Word of God in 1996, we have created dozens of in-depth study tools, compiled a vast library of theological resources, and developed mobile apps to accomplish this mission.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Blue Letter Bible’s strategies for accomplishing its goals include providing:
• The Bible in multiple languages and translations
• A vast and growing library of biblical exposition in audio, text, and video format from nearly fifty different authors
• Bible dictionaries
• Greek and Hebrew language tools
• Bible-wide cross-referencing tool
• The Blue Letter Bible website on CD-ROMs (for those who do not have Internet)
• A website optimized for mobile devices and apps for mobile devices with the IOS and Android operating systems
• The Blue Letter Bible Institute, BLBi (www.blbi.org) - another free tool from Blue Letter Bible includes 10 courses
• ScriptureMark (www.scripturemark.org), a digital Bible study tool enabling users to reformat and mark up Bible passages
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?

Blue Letter Bible is user-supported. God has blessed our ministry with a base of support from thousands of individual users. Blue Letter Bible also receives support from dozens of churches.
For many years, our ministry has partnered with a number of other ministries. These partners continue to help Blue Letter Bible gain awareness, expand its reach, increase its number of users and provide additional commentaries and study tools.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Blue Letter Bible has come a long way since 1996. The current user base is approximately ten million with over five hundred million-page views annually. We are now approaching a million pages of content on our primary website including:
• 20 versions of the Bible
• Hundreds of audio and video commentaries from more than 50 authors
• Bible reference tools including encyclopedias and dictionaries
• Greek and Hebrew language tools
• Maps
• Timelines
• Music
• Topical indexes
• Charts and outlines
• Theological resources.
The Blue Letter Bible Institute (BLBi) was created in February of 2003. With over sixty thousand students from all over the world, our student base has grown significantly since the institute’s creation. Our course catalog includes over ten courses on the subjects of the doctrine of the Christian faith, biblical exposition, Christian life and practice, and apologetics and worldviews.
Our mobile apps were released in 2010 (for Apple devices) and 2015 (Android). They have gained massive user bases since their release, with IOS having over a million and Android over half a million. The functionality of both is being increased to one day potentially match the website in content and usability. We have also optimized the Blue Letter Bible website for mobile devices.
In 2019 we released our Greek inflection tool for increased depth to original language studies and our digital Bible markup tool, ScriptureMark.
In the future, as resources become available, Blue Letter Bible would like to translate a significant portion of the site into other languages, develop an app for ScriptureMark and increase the number of commentaries offered.
