Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Solar Light Project

We bring solar lights to students, families and villages living without access to regular electricity in developing countries. Solar lights allow students to study at night.

Population(s) Served

Vigilante Kindness provides Work Study Scholarships to students in developing countries. Our Work Study Project allows students and/or their families to work or volunteer to earn money for the school fees of their children.

Population(s) Served

Vigilante Kindness partners with student artist, Leku Ivan. Leku Ivan is an orphan, an artist and the proprieter of the Kroeze Art Shop in Gulu, named after the American family he calls his own. Vigilante Kindness helps Leku Ivan photograph and sell his paintings and those of other artists sharing his shop. Leku Ivan uses the proceeds to pay his living expenses, his school fees, and the school fees of his sister.

Population(s) Served

Vigilante Kindness recycles old magazines and catalogs and gives them to the village of Te Okot, Uganda. The people of Te Okot, notably the women, turn the magazines into beautiful paper bead jewelry. They sell the jewelry in Uganda and on our Vigilante Kindness website to pay for daily necessities like food, medicine, clothing and school fees.

Population(s) Served

Three Ugandan orphans and schoolmates will begin a chicken farm as a way to pay their school fees, to offer employment opportunities to students in need and to help feed people in need in their community.

Population(s) Served

We're hoping to help build a school in the remote area of Te Okot, Uganda. Right now there isn't a school close enough for the children of Te Okot to attend.

Population(s) Served

We will help establish and fund a pig farm to help a family in Northern Uganda send their children to school.
