Assistance Grants
Assistance grants help families who are struggling with unexpected veterinary expenses, housing challenges, domestic violence, or other hardships to allow them to keep their pets with them and out of animal shelters. Grants are awarded based on individual need and circumstance, and are paid directly to partnering veterinary clinics, boarding facilities, and other community partners to ensure traceability of donor funds.

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Gray Muzzle Society is working to keep senior and special needs animals out of shelters and with families.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Gray Muzzle Society is working to keep at-risk animals out of shelters and with families using the following methods:
1. Assitance Grants- Assistance Grants are awarded to families to help pay for veterinary bills and other unexpected pet-related expenses to support families in keeping their pets with them throughout old age.
2. Temporary Care- Gray Muzzle Society provides temporary fostering or boarding of animals whose owners are temporarily unable to care for their pet due to natural disaster, domestic violence, illness, deployment, incarceration, or other unexpected circumstances. Pets are reunited with their owners rather than being permanently separated.
3. Adoption and Hospice- Gray Muzzle Society provides permanent housing for homeless senior and special needs pets in our network of foster homes until the animal finds their forever family.
