What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

CORE program

The Community and Rehabilitation Program supports Extremely Vulnerable Individuals of Formerly Abducted Person ( FAPs) . They were identified during follow up visit conducted by Invisible Children Uganda/ Wend Africa to access the reintegration progress of FAPs after their stay at the rehabilitation center and receiving psychosocial services upon return from the LRA captivity. These are just a few of the many FAPs reached in a week of field follow up visit across Acholi sub region. There are much more of such returnees languishing all over northern Uganda. Not much is done to ensure FAPs are fully reintegrated socially, economically and psychologically after their stay at the rehabilitation centers and upon reunification with their families in the community. The problems these FAPs go through are numerous including but not limited to stigmatization, revenge, threatening violence, different forms of rights violation, marginalization, disownment or denial by community members who still harbor grudges against returnees for suffering they supposedly inflicted upon them while still in the LRA. There have been cases of returnees who have been rejected by their close relatives and community members to the extent of disowning, chasing them and constantly accusing them of their participation in the LRA atrocities. This explains inadequate sensitization of community members to appreciate that the returnees are themselves victims of the LRA conflict.
