Summit Community Gardens

Gather, Learn, and Grow

PARK CITY, UT   |  www.summitcommunitygardens.org

Mission

Empowering our community to gather and garden at high altitude. We encourage the land to thrive as open space, as a beautiful haven of native plants and flowers. We feed the bees, which in turn help feed us. We inspire the community to learn, to grow on their own. We learn to feed our families, and to appreciate the journey from seed to plate. We are a space to gather, to learn, and to grow.

Every summer we offer a variety of summer camps for kids. Would you like your child to spend time outdoors while learning about nature, gardening, and growing healthy food? If you answered yes, then our garden camps are perfect for you and your family this summer.

Children will learn about a different gardening theme each week with hands-on gardening activities – working in the garden, completing nature crafts, listening to stories and singing songs.

The Garden Bounty Project provides fresh, healthful produce to people in Summit County who wouldn’t normally have access to it. We grow all the produce organically in our garden and harvest it the same day we donate it to other local nonprofit food banks such as the Christian Center of Park City.

We donate a variety of fresh vegetables, such as kale, carrots, radishes, squash, lettuce, spinach, kohlrabi and beets. All of this produce is grown in our Demonstration Garden by our staff and volunteers.

Population(s) Served
Economically disadvantaged people
