Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Art & Storytelling Book Club

Our after-school Art & Storytelling Book Club is designed to enhance a sense of belonging for students between the ages of 10-14 years. Currently, we are working specifically with 4th - 6th graders in the Northern Virginia area (Fairfax County).

Cultured Kids' leadership works with elementary school administrators and school counselors to determine which students would most benefit from our program. Top-priority students may be disengaged from school, lack peer connections, or be marginalized.

The Art & Storytelling Book Club is a multidisciplinary program, incorporating Visual Arts, English Language Arts, and Social and Emotional Learning. The purposefully designed curriculum is layered to scaffold the specific areas of growth necessary to create our desired outcome: an increased sense of belonging.
