Mission

Girls Who Invest (GWI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the investment management industry by attracting and advancing women investors, changemakers, and leaders. We are changing the face of investing through education, mentoring, internships, and a supportive, motivated community and have reached nearly 2,000 young women in just seven years.

Girls Who Invest Summer Intensive Program

The summer intensive program is a 10 week program. It begins with 4 weeks of intensive academic training in-residence at a leading university. Upon completion of the academic training, scholars have a 6 week paid internship at a leading asset management firm.

GWI offers college freshman the opportunity to participate in a self-study certificate program in partnership with the CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals that sets the standard for professional excellence.

Completing the CFA Investment Foundations Program will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the asset management industry, offer you a noteworthy addition to your resume and strengthen your application next year should you choose to apply as a sophomore to the 2019 GWI Summer Intensive Program. The GWI CFA Online Learners Program will be available from June 1, 2018 - September 15, 2018.

GWI offers college sophomores the opportunity to participate in a private, curated online learning experience in partnership with the CFA Institute, Wall Street Prep and Wharton Online.

GWI provides selected online learners access to three self-directed modules: CFA Institute Investment Foundations, Wall Street Prep courses, and Wharton Online’s Business and Financial Modeling specialization. Students who successfully complete the full program will receive a Certificate from CFA and Wharton.
