Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Trailhead's primary objective is helping to fund and support communities and families in poverty stricken, difficult places in developing nations. Areas with little to no means or ability to build church or community center facilities, or fund community humanitarian services and programs. We target really tough areas that truly need help. Our goals are to encourage, love, train, and educate. We are working to raise more funds to develop more facilities to fulfill our mission.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Building Church and Community Center Facilities
Trailhead connects with existing church families in over 30 countries in areas of extreme poverty with little to no means of funding a facility on their own. Trailhead partners with donors to supply the funding, and works with people at the in-country building site to provide guidance to see the construction project completed.
Avance Youth Sports
Trailhead develops youth sports programs to help communities keep young people active and off the streets, to provide a safe and healthy environment to play and learn, and to instill character, values, and life skills into the lives of young people.

- We have long-term strategic plans and measurable goals for creating a culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
- We use a vetting process to identify vendors and partners that share our commitment to race equity.
- We have a promotion process that anticipates and mitigates implicit and explicit biases about people of color serving in leadership positions.
- We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
- We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
- We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
