Programs and results
What we aim to solve
When young people are exposed to music and band, their minds expand and they improve cognitive and social skills. Musical instruments and lessons are out of reach of many students in Hall and Montgomery County, GA.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
High School Band Student Scholarships
We believe band makes better students. Our annual scholarships are provided to the top academic band student in each public school in Hall County and Montgomery County, GA.
Middle School Band Instruments
Music skills learned early in life often lead to lifelong musicians. We know that middle school is a great opportunity for children to be introduced to music. A lack of quality instruments should not be a barrier. That's why we donate musical instruments to Hall County and Montgomery County middle schools.
Student Computer Connection
Laptops and desktop computers are necessary for the academic success of students. Hall County and Montgomery County has a high population percentage of public school students that lack access to computers. We are changing that! Sunshine Music House refurbishes computers and donates the computers to students. Access to technology at home is important for life success. We bridge the gap!

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goal is to provide musical instruments to middle school students, scholarships to high school band students and music lessons to the community.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We partner with each high school and middle school band director to donate instruments and arrange annual scholarships for high school seniors. We also donate funds to cover fall band fees, instument rentals and sheet music. We provide safe surroundings for volunteers to donate music lessons to students and the community.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We operate a thrift store that builds our non-profits endowment. This, along with private and corporate donations, allows us to continue to expand our donation of musical instruments and scholarships.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Our current scholarships total $15,000 annually. Musical instrument donations to middle schools is $12,500 and we donate more than $10,000 of computers and software to local students annually. We have a goal of providing $45,000 of annual scholarships and $25,000 in musical instruments on an annual basis.
