Mission

Puentes de Esperanza provides the tools and support necessary to empower low-income communities through education. We work in and around Jiquilillo, Nicaragua, a small fishing village on the northern Pacific coast. We manage a scholarship program, an after school program, English classes, Computer Literacy classes, Tutoring, and other educational programs.

Scholarship Program

Puentes de Esperanza is providing scholarships that include transport cost, uniforms, backpacks and materials to 43 primary and secondary school students.

Population(s) Served

Local Kids come to our community center monday-friday between 2-4 PM to do art projects, play and engage. A place for kids to be kids.

An occasion for scholarship students and other local kids to come and do their homework. We provide materials, text books, dictionaries and a peaceful place for kids to come and focus on learning. We also have encouraging and knowledgeable adults to support the kids with their learning.
